Rep. Napolitano’s Office to Host “Academy Day” for Young People Interested Our Nation’s Military Academies

Rep. Grace F. Napolitano’s office hosted an “Academy Day” on Saturday, November 7th at Southeast Academy High School in Norwalk. Students were able to speak with and hear from representatives from West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the California Maritime Academy, as well as represenatives from Rio Hondo College's Police and Fire Academies. Because our nation’s military academies require nominations by prospective students’ Congressperson, the event also gave high school students a chance to speak with a member of Rep. Napolitano’s staff about the nomination process.
